This blog is a personal project that I’ve wanted to do for a while but only started working on during the Covid-19 lockdowns. While this blog focuses on books, I won’t exactly review them. Other sites will probably do a better job. Instead, in true IB alumni fashion, I’ll reflect on what I've learnt from those books. My favourite thing about reading is how it never fails to teach me something new. A work of fiction like Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie’s Half of a Yellow Sun can humanise a war I’ve never even heard of before. A biography like Paul Kalanithi’s When Breath Becomes Air can provide valuable life lessons from a dying man. So really, I’d recommend any of the books here! Hopefully you’ll learn something from them too.
